Celebrate New Year with Champagne Bollinger
December 13th, 2010
We rarely have to think of an excuse to drink Champagne here at Champagne Bollinger, but for those of you who need a little more convincing, the ensuing New Year’s celebrations will no doubt do just that.
We have 3 bottles of Bollinger Special Cuvée, 6 glasses and a limited edition Bollinger ice bucket to give away to one lucky winner this Dec 31st.
Our challenge to you, to be completed by midnight on Wednesday 22 December, is this: simply describe your perfect New Year celebrations. Whether you tweet it (we are @BollingerUK) or write it here, we’d like the who, when, why, where and what. And if your answer is the wittiest or most imaginative, you and your friends could enjoy a wonderful December 31st courtesy of Champagne Bollinger.
Unfortunately, this competition is only available to residents of the UK. Please see here for our other terms and conditions.

holed up in a cottage with close family, roaring fire going, some old fashioned board games & a bottle of Bolly!

Champagne breakfast, lunch, dinner and ofcourse a toast when the clock strikes midnight, grab hold of someone gorgeous to snog!
@GDRichards
Open a vintage bottle for each strike of twelve. Bring lots of friends to help consume your case of bolly.
@Marinelf
With people whom I can share laughter
Where someone else tidies up after
On New Years Eve night some Bolly would be heaven
As we raise a glass to see in 2011!
Ideal New Year’s Eve would be: A group of old university buddies gathered together for a 10 year reunion to celebrate qualifications, charterships, and a whole decade of fun – black tie and LBDs, naturally! The location could be anywhere, perhaps somewhere like Ecco Vino in Edinburgh, friendly, understated with amazing food and a wicked wine list to match. We’d enjoy some great mediterranean food, a bottle or two of classic french claret, some Henri Winterman cigars, and naturally a few glasses of bubbly!
I want this New Year to be the most amazing, special evening of my life. I recently met the man of my dreams and as a result want to celebrate together with a bit of a bang. Everything would be perfect. I would invite all of our closest friends over to our apartment in Manchester. All our friends would be dressed up for the occasion wearing Black tie or their nicest party dresses. Being the perfect host, I’d serve them with canapés and Bollinger on arrival. There would be plenty of food, and the drink would keep flowing. At 11:45 I’d sneak out of the party and text my boyfriend telling him to get the lift to the 23rd floor, where I’d meet him and lead him up onto the roof of our apartment. Alone, I’d surprise him with a bottle of Bollinger just for us which I’d kept back from earlier. We’d sip Champagne and watch the fireworks go off all over the city on a night that neither of us would forget. It would be perfect. I’d keep the cork and write “our first new year” on the side and keep it in a place where it can be joined by quite a few more Bollinger Corks of the years to come.
A lovely bottle of Bollinger shared with my hubby, hoping he stays awake long enough to see in Newyear
@paulinepppp
being with the people I care about the most and who’ve helped me through a major move from East Sussex to Cumbria. After an amazing dinner we’d be sitting round the fire playing games. After being seriously ill last christmas and new year I would love Bollinger to bring in 2012. We would toast a speedy end to my divorce and a continuation of our lovely new lives in Cumbria.
I would like to turn back time
and celebrate new year’s eve 1999
with the great family I’ve now got,
my loving husband and beautiful tot
I never knew back then that they’d be mine.
Happy New Year Bollinger! x
in times sq with my lovely family
@clarateddy
climbing mount everest reaching the summit at midnight on the dot…pulling out my bottle of bollie and look down on the world
@Highaltitude28
Family Freinds Good food and Champagne to pop when clock strikes 12
tipsy and merry till early hours with the loved ones
@Ami4levi
my perfect #NYE is seeing it in with friends and loved ones, good music, festive cheer and the optimism that comes with it.
@brickiebuddie
my perfect New Year’s would be flying westward; tracking Local Midnight, drinking Bollinger and seeing the world celebrate..!
@LondonWineCirc
I’d rent a huge country house with friends and family. The day would start lazily, with newspapers in front of a crackling log fire, then we’d walk around the grounds in the afternoon, before coming in to piping hot tea and time to get ready for our evening. Caterers would come in to prepare an evening’s worth of delicious canapés then we could enjoy each other’s company, toasting our happiness with Bollinger.
What pops my cork for New Years Eve?
Makes it go with a fizz like you’ll never believe?
A hundred friends and family meet,
At a sumptuous hotel for an evening’s treat
We’ll spend the evening sipping Bolly
To make our evening bright and jolly
We’ll laugh as we talk of days gone by
And share stories that bring a tear to the eye
Then after midnight to home we go
Feeling happy and loved with hearts all aglow
our new years eve is always celebrated at my mothers house with my sister and her family me and my children and husband we all play games have a buffet and drinks at 11.55 we send all the boys n men outside and the oldest lets the first foot in we all tehn have a celebration toast and go home we love seeing the new year as a full family even though we have all grown up and now have families of our own
with family in iceland where the locals set off fireworks from 11.30pm after a feast of lobster and roast goose. although if the volcano was still erupting then that might possibly be even better than fireworks! all ths perfectly matched with a cold glass of bollinger and an after party of course
Now let me think……. My perfect New Year celebrations…….
Who?: Myself & the lovely Jonny Depp
When?: Hogmanay
Why?: Need you really ask? I think not.
Where?: A cosy log cabin in the Highlands of Scotland, with roaring fire and views over the snowy glens.
What?: Celebrating New Year with my favourite champagne, in my favourite country, with the fabulous company of Mr Depp.
My ideal would be to throw an Anti New Year’s Resolutions party in an opulent country mansion where all my friends and family come dressed as a deadly sin and do all the things they’re intending to give up the following year to excess.
So if your new year’s resolution is to give up chocolate you get to dive into a chocolate fountain. If it’s to drink less you get to swim in a giant glass of champagne. It would be decadent and sumptuous. One last chance to be very, very naughty before the New Year!
I would spend it in a bath with candles and a good book ALONE,for a change
my three children tucked up in bed and my husband twittering/blogging in peace
Our Christmas and New Year get togethers have long been celebrated with Bolly filled days… As Eddie says on Ab-Fab its only “Bolly-darling” for us! The drink sums up countless memories of happy times with friends and family; some sophisticated occasions, some naughty, some pure fun, but all memorable for all the right reasons!
